Best Cook Book EVER Written
I just want to suggest that if you want a cook book you really should consider this one. You need to look at pages 2 and 3 they show how this simplifies recipies that is in a way different from all other cookbooks.

They have another cook book that goes with this one that follows the same recipie format. Its a good one too. So, I guess there are two great cookbooks in the world.

Makes dinner quick, easy and delicious!!!
This book is loaded with really tasty and easy dinner ideas. Instead of saying exactly what the recipe calls for it gives you ideas of what to combine based on what you have on hand - no fancy ingredients to shop for!!! Also has really easy measuring (ie: a handful of vegies per person). The recipes are really quick to make and are easy enough for kids to help make supper. This book has taken the stress out of that "just home and have to get supper on the table hour!!!!"

Jurassic Gem
Once again, Liza Chaarlesworth has created a masterpiece! She left me nearly breathless as I followed along in her adventure among the giant lizards of days gone by. Although recommended for children, I remained captivated--almost prostrate--as my imagination careened between the here and now and the not here and then. Bravo, Liza! Keep delivering these masterpieces--your adoring fans await.

great book
very educational, good pictures, great for kid

An Elegant Hand: The Golden Age of American Penmanship and Calligraphy
Published in Library Binding by Oak Knoll Books (April, 2002)
Authors: William E. Henning and Paul Melzer
Average review score:

Skilled Lettering examples/superb historical detail
An amazing book full of superior examples of penmanship, fine mark making through to highly skilled illustrative works. If you are not a reader who likes wading through text, the examples themselves stand alone for their sheer beauty and skill - excellent as exemplars to improve your own lettering works, or just to open your eyes to the broad variety of styles, skills and individuality of the best known penman of the era. I study the examples regularly and recommend this book to my own students as an excellent reference work.

While the graphics inspire and educate on the quality one desires to achieve, the well constructed text in the book transports us back to an era when lettering was a part of everyday life - where schools in penmanship taught learners in a rigorous and hectic schedule with drills and practice and more practice - lives so dedicated to their artform that we can only imagine what it was like today.

This book will delightfully inform and educate you about this wonderful time in American calligraphy through the carefully woven stories of the lives of these Master Penman. It fills a gap with information and samples that had previously only been available to those who spend a lifetime studying the history of penmanship.

A book to be in every calligraphers and historians library (and even those who just love a delightful read out of interest) and well worth the cost - even with the poor exchange rate in Australia! Don't miss it!

A unique gem on historical American Calligraphy
As someone who takes both the art and history of American calligraphy very serious I was speechless when I first saw this book! In fact, the importance of this book in helping to document a portion of the rich, but almost forgotten, calligraphic heritage of the United States cannot be overstated. 'An Elegant Hand' represents this history from the perspective of one of the great Master Penman of the past, WC Henning. Henning was intimately involved with masters such Louis Madarasz, AN Palmer, WE Dennis and FB Courtney. All of whom are represented in the book as well as many others. The book is a delightful read and very accessible to even the novice calligrapher/pen art enthusiast. Furthermore, it is literally jam packed with art containing specimen after specimen from past masters that will serve as a source of study for calligraphers of any level. I consider it a MUST HAVE for anyone interested in calligraphy.

Eye-Hand Coordination Boosters: A Book of 92 Blackline Masters
Published in Paperback by Academic Therapy Pubns (May, 2001)
Authors: L. Jay Lev and Jay L. Lev

Its good - but its not right
While expertly written and a joy to read, I feel that Mr Spillwater is slightly over-exgerating the positive effects he claims to have experienced after reading this book. Having personaly known him for nearly a year, I have truley experienced the cacophony of spilled of drinks, washing machines and most things fluid over a whole army of animal, mineral and vegtable. The only improvement I have seen in Mr Spillwaters' affliction after reading "Hand-Eye Coordination Boosters", is that his friends and close associates now only approach him while wearing safty clothing - preferably with life jacket included!

No more spillage!
After 23 years of constantly spilling every beverage in sight I didn't expect much from this book. How wrong could I be. I now have fantastic hand-eye coordination - and am even able to drink over half a glass of water with out spilling a single drop!

Its changed my life

To Bust or not to Bust
First let me say this is a worthwhile purchase. Why? It offers a "blow by blow" guide to punching in a non-grappling street fight. Now it is a bit wordy, but if you know how to read in-between the lines you are getting some useful street fighting information. There are some hardcore punching techniques *Hanging punch, read this and practice. There is more to a street fight than connecting your fists against somebody's head. It involves know where to hit and type of punch to use at a given time.

Make it Work!: Flight
We just received Flight (Make it Work!) in the mail and promptly started on a project! We are homeschoolers and always looking for fun ways to learn. This book really impressed me. The projects are colorful and interesting, and captured my children's interest immediately. As I write my 9 year old son is making the cannon - page 12. Now that is high praise!

Flight (Make it work)
This book is full of great do-it-your-self projects for kids (and adults) to build. Great stuff for cub scouts. I especially enjoyed the space shuttle/rocket booster powered by air preasure.

Footsteps in the Attic: More First-Hand Accounts of the Paranormal in New England
Published in Paperback by New River Press (RI) (September, 2002)
Author: Paul F. Eno
Average review score:

Hypotheses are well researched
In the world of the paranormal, we're routinely faced with two voices, the believer and the debunker. In this refreshing take on the world of "ghost sightings" we're given a third choice, a rational voice that balances the previous two with scientific insight and theories that span the gap from quantum physics to metaphysics.

In Paul F. Eno's worldview, "ghosts" can be caused by several different phenomena, from "standing waves" or low frequency sound waves, to time displacements, and from visitation apparitions to parasitic entities. We learn about each of these through actual cases Eno has investigated. Each sighting is taken seriously and examined with an even-handed manner that allows for any possibility.

His hypotheses are well researched and although he is careful to point out that he is not a scientist, his work reflects the findings of some of the greatest minds in "new" or quantum physics.

If you're ever troubled with what seems to be a haunting problem, this book should be your first line of attack. In fact, you may want to keep it on hand just in case. This modern Ghost Buster may not carry around a power pack, but his methods are going to be a whole lot more effective if you are ever face-to-face with the real thing.

Footsteps is another great paranormal title from Eno
In his second book on the paranormal, Paul Eno hits another home run and proves he's at the top of his game as a paranormal investigator and author. Baseball analogies aside, Eno manages to engage and intrique his readers again, just as he did with 1998's Faces at the Window.

In Footsteps in the Attic, he lays out his utterly unique and ultimately convincing view that what we call "ghosts" are really far more complex, and really arise from slips in time and alternate universes. This based-in-fact scientific explanation makes this book stand out among the many Halloween "scare" books on the market now that read more like fiction.

And from the story of a disappearing house to an apparently troubled classroom in an elementary school and his dire warnings about parasites and the use of Ouija boards, Eno tells a far scarier tale than those fiction-inspired haunting stories ever could. This is because everything he writes about comes from his personal involvement in these cases.

For anyone interested in truly understanding the paranormal, or even opening your mind to the possibility of its existence, I highly recommend this book.
